The only way to change these statistics is to continue researching\u2014only then will we gain ground in the fight against cancer. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As Dr. Josep Tabernero, President of the FERO Foundation&#8217;s Scientific Advisory Committee, points out in an interview with the foundation, over the past 40 years oncology research has enabled the discovery of new treatments and diagnostic techniques that have improved cancer survival rates from 20% or 30% to nearly 65%. However, our main objective is to completely eradicate cancer as a cause of death. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To achieve this, we need to add more hours of research. Taking advantage of the two annual FERO Grant ceremonies, the foundation organizes two charity dinners.
