You have likely heard of them or are familiar with the term, but in this post, we want to share all the details and the differences that exist between them. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What are the FERO Grants?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">FERO Grants are financial aids for researchers leading <strong>cancer research projects<\/strong> in our country that aim to prevent, detect, and\/or cure cancer.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These grants have been running since 2009 and, thanks to them, more than 4 million euros have already been allocated to promote young talent and translational research in Spain.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What types of FERO Grants are there?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Currently, the Foundation awards three types of grants each year:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>FERO FELLOWSHIPS FOR YOUNG RESEARCHERS.<\/li>\n<li>BREAST CANCER PROJECTS.<\/li>\n<li>DR. The calls for applications open in winter (December &#8211; January) and spring (May) and are disseminated through social media and the project offices of research and medical institutions in Spain.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span>What does the winner selection process consist of?<\/span><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The FERO Grants consist of 2 phases: the first in which candidates submit a short proposal and their standardized curriculum, and a second phase in which the best proposals selected by the jury are invited to send a full proposal. All proposals are evaluated based on 4 or 5 criteria by a jury of highly prestigious oncologists and researchers, chaired by Dr. Andr\u00e9s Cervantes. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you believe your research project fits into any of these calls, we would be delighted to receive it.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Follow our social media to stay up to date with the different dates and application processes!<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are counting on you to advance research.
