IV FERO-ASEICA Grant – Dr. Miguel Muñoz

IV FERO-ASEICA Grant

Dr. Miguel Muñoz

Complutense University of Madrid
PROJECT
Monitoring resident T-cell interactions through innovative techniques: an innovative approach to cancer immunotherapy
GRANT AMOUNT
€80,000

The project addresses the low efficacy of immunotherapy in solid tumors due to poor lymphocyte infiltration into the tumor. Its approach involves understanding the function and regulation of different types of T lymphocytes in specific tissues and their ability to control localized antitumor immunity. By combining information on the location and transcriptome of tumor-infiltrating immune cells, the project seeks to decipher the molecular pathways that mediate communication between cells. The ultimate goal is to evaluate the effects of the dysregulation of these pathways in cancer and to adapt cellular immunotherapy according to the anatomical location of the tumors.
