FERO Academy
A comprehensive boost for oncology research
The FERO Foundation created the FERO Academy with the purpose of cultivating an ecosystem of support and trust—a space where synergies can germinate, enriching experiences can be shared, and members can mutually strengthen one another while acquiring new skills, thereby elevating the global capabilities of our researchers.
Beyond being a platform for professional growth, the FERO Academy represents a way for our donors, board members, and the Foundation team to establish a close bond with the scientific community, transcending the act of donation to become active participants in collective progress.
FERO Retreats
Meetings to strengthen the scientific program
Each year, these meetings are held in different locations across the Peninsula where FERO researchers can interact in a stimulating environment. With cutting-edge themes and a dynamic agenda, these gatherings are designed to spark the exchange of fresh ideas through collaborative activities, brainstorming, and outreach sessions. Furthermore, they serve as the ideal platform to drive improvements and strengthen FERO’s scientific program, ensuring that each edition leaves a mark on the path toward excellence.

A training program to enhance FERO research talent
Through exclusive programs tailored to the needs of our community of FERO Grant-winning researchers, we ensure that every experience is relevant, practical, and transformative.
Each year, a select group of 20 FERO researchers will have the opportunity to participate, immersing themselves in specialized training that will mark a turning point in their careers by providing value and impact. Leadership and communication, entrepreneurship, and technology transfer are some examples of the topics that will be addressed.
We would like to highlight our agreement with EDEM (School of Business and Management in Valencia) for the first two editions. This is a prominent training school for business owners, executives, engineers, and entrepreneurs of today and the future.
FERO Seminars
Shared knowledge to advance oncology research
FERO researchers have the opportunity to share their scientific experience with other scientists or opinion leaders in various fields, exchanging best practices, success stories, turning points, useful tools, or advice.
Through interactive and enriching sessions, we provide a unique, close, and trusted space to work as a community, involving researchers and society in the strategic and efficient exchange of knowledge.
The process begins with identifying the most relevant needs of different groups of opinion leaders, followed by the selection of expert speakers who will offer valuable insights.
With the 2025 calendar, our goal is to offer nine exclusive seminars for FERO researchers, ensuring that our community is always at the forefront of training and knowledge.
Social entities such as the Círculo Ecuestre de Barcelona are among the organizations that host FERO Seminars.
