XXI FERO Grant – Dr. Berta Casar Martínez

Her project aims to establish a new predictive biomarker for response to melanoma treatment. It involves developing a new diagnostic kit capable of predicting the emergence of resistance to conventional melanoma treatments. The clinical use of this biomarker will allow for better stratification and personalized treatment of melanoma patients. Through the development of this new biomarker, it will be possible to identify tumors that are susceptible to treatment. Consequently, patients will be able to benefit from more effective treatment tailored to their tumor and avoid unnecessary adverse effects.
