Fundraising initiatives

People talking at a gathering

Turn something you care about into research to cure cancer.

A birthday. A race. A concert. A challenge with friends. An initiative at your company. An idea that doesn’t exist yet.

Any occasion is an opportunity to raise funds for the projects that FERO Cáncer selects with scientific rigour, with a clear goal: to accelerate the journey of new treatments from the laboratory to the patient.

You choose the initiative. We turn it into research.

Create your initiative: it’s easy

  1. Create your initiative. Give it a name, explain what you want to do and set a fundraising goal. You’ll have your own page where anyone can contribute.
  2. Share it. Tell the people around you why you’re doing it. Share it on WhatsApp, social media or email with family, friends, colleagues or customers.
  3. Gather support. Every contribution brings you closer to your goal and becomes funding for research.

What can you do?

Celebrate something

A birthday, a wedding, an anniversary, a dinner, a party. Ask the people joining you to contribute to research as well as celebrating with you.

Set yourself a challenge

Run 10 kilometres. Complete your first marathon. Cycle across a mountain. Swim, walk, pedal. Or invent a challenge that has nothing to do with sport. Set your distance, your time, your days. The people around you help you achieve it.

Mobilise your company

A tournament between teams. A race. An internal competition. An event with customers. An activity linked to a company anniversary. A team with a shared goal goes further.

Involve your school or university

A charity run. A challenge between classes. A festival. An activity created by the students themselves. Schools and universities turn an activity into an opportunity to learn, participate and fund research.

Put your skills at the service of science

A concert. An exhibition. A photography session. A class. A recipe. An auction. A show. If you can do something that brings people together, turn it into a fundraising initiative.

Play, create, connect

A video game tournament. A stream. A 12-hour live broadcast. A social media challenge. Create a digital initiative and mobilise your community wherever you are.

Do it in someone’s honour

Create an initiative to remember someone important to you or bring the people around you together around a story that continues. A memory, turned into research.

Have another idea?

If you have an idea that brings people together and raises funds, it’s a FERO Cáncer initiative.
A trip. A record. A book club. A food challenge. A collection. A competition between friends. Thirty days of doing something. Or something we haven’t thought of yet.

Help it reach further

Once you’ve created it, tell people about it. Explain what you’re going to do, what your goal is and why you’re doing it.

Share your initiative’s link on social media, WhatsApp, email or wherever your community is. You don’t need to start with hundreds of people. An initiative grows every time someone shares it.

Need help?

If you want to organise an initiative and don’t know where to start, we’ll help you. Tell us what you have in mind.
