While in the previous post we discussed more standard ways of collaborating with the FERO Foundation, such as donations from individuals and companies or attending the FERO Grants charity dinner, in this article we will discuss other solidarity actions that can be carried out to raise funds for translational oncology research through our Foundation.
Create your solidarity challenge

If you want to run the Zurich Marató de Barcelona this March 19, organize a fundraising action at https://www.migranodearena.org/evento/zurich-marato-barcelona-2023-19-marzo- and in exchange, we will give you a solidarity bib number. Break records in the race against cancer.

Join Miguel’s challenge: Miguel Martínez has launched a fundraising campaign for cancer research through the FERO Foundation, specifically for Sarcoma, a cancer for which there is little research. Do like Miguel: turn a personal challenge into a solidarity challenge through https://www.migranodearena.org/usuario/fundacion-fero.

Design and sell solidarity t-shirts like those by Steffi Mallebrein and choose which translational oncology research project you want to invest in. Steffi’s proceeds went to the FERO project “Treatment of advanced breast cancer through adoptive transfer of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes” (TILS Project), led by Dr. Aleix Prat at Hospital Clínic.

Organize a charity dinner at your home with the support of the FERO Foundation to raise funds and raise awareness about cancer.

Other ways to collaborate
- Solidarity sale of artworks as a tribute to Cecília Bofarull: On March 18 and 19, an exhibition, tribute, and sale of works by more than 30 artists will take place, where all proceeds will go to the FERO Foundation. It will be held at Espai Mosaik, at C/ Gran de Gràcia 77, pral., 1ª. For more information, contact us at fero@fero.org.
- Buy the book “Me quiero vivir” by Cecília Bofarull, which narrates the patient’s experience living with cancer through words and watercolors, and whose profits are entirely destined for oncology research through the FERO Foundation. Get your book here.
- Follow us on social media as @fundacion_fero. Just as you follow your trusted horoscope, your idols on social networks, or your digital newspaper, we need you too!
And why do we want to gain followers if we are a foundation?
- Because we want the maximum number of people to be able to access the advances in oncology research shared by our doctors and researchers.
- Because we want to raise awareness about the importance of investing in oncology research to help fund our research projects.
- Because we want to eradicate cancer and we need everyone’s support to do so.
If you would like to collaborate with the FERO Foundation through any of the mentioned proposals, please contact us at fero@fero.org and we will help you make it a reality.
