At Fundación FERO, we are delighted to share that we have earned the Accredited NGO Seal from Fundación Lealtad, a unique distinction in Spain that recognizes compliance with 9 Principles of Transparency and Good Governance Practices.

What Are Fundación Lealtad and the Donate with Confidence Seal?
Fundación Lealtad
is an independent nonprofit institution whose mission is to foster public trust in NGOs.
It was the first organization to develop a methodology for analyzing the transparency and good governance practices of Spanish NGOs in 2001. Its public information service is a benchmark for donors, and its experience has inspired other initiatives in Spain and Latin America to promote NGO transparency.
The Donate with Confidence Seal is a unique distinction in Spain that recognizes compliance with 9 Principles of Transparency and Good Governance Practices. It also helps donors clearly and easily identify those foundations that provide complete information about their management, activities, and the origin and allocation of their funds, among other aspects.
Our Commitment to Good Practices
The team of analysts at
Fundación Lealtad
has determined that
Fundación FERO fully complies with the 9 Principles of Transparency and Good Practices
related to the NGO’s operations and the information it makes available to the public.
“
Fundación FERO
voluntarily applied for accreditation, a process that has concluded with the awarding of the Donate with Confidence Seal. Thirty-six indicators are analyzed related to
the NGO’s management, governance, financial situation, communication, volunteer programs, and regulatory compliance. The effective use of resources is also examined to enable confident collaboration and effective donations.”

Ana Benavides, Executive Director of Fundación Lealtad
.
Earning the Donate with Confidence Seal is recognition of the commitment that Dr. Baselga initiated over 24 years ago to society and to science. It also represents motivation to continue improving continuously under the highest quality standards.
“FERO has always been committed to quality and transparency, and we are dedicated to continuous improvement. That is why we decided to become certified with LEALTAD—to demonstrate the quality of our work and improve our internal processes so that our impact is greater,” states Silvia Garriga, President of Fundación FERO.

What the Donate with Confidence Seal Brings Us
The Fundación Lealtad Seal provides us with multiple advantages.
- It allows us to improve internally by encouraging us to keep all our processes well structured.
- It strengthens our credibility and institutional reputation, consolidating our image as a solid, professional organization committed to accountability.
- It increases the trust of our donors and partners, as it acts as a seal of assurance within the social sector, certifying that we meet transparency and good practice standards.
- And it differentiates us from other organizations working for the same cause, and facilitates access to new fundraising opportunities, essential for continuing to advance our mission.
What the Seal Brings to Our Donors
With this accreditation, Fundación FERO is identified as a foundation to collaborate with, with an added level of confidence, and one that meets donors’ current demands for transparency and good practices, joining the group of NGOs Accredited by Fundación Lealtad.
In this regard, Ana Benavides notes: “To make an effective donation, it is essential that donors inform themselves before and after contributing to verify the NGO’s work and the impact of their donation. The Fundación Lealtad Seal, based on an independent evaluation, provides and facilitates this task for donors.”
Thank You for Walking Alongside Us
This seal not only certifies our commitment to transparency, efficiency, and accountability.
It is also recognition of all the people who trust us, who support us, and who believe in research as the path to a future without cancer.
We are honored to be part of the group of NGOs accredited by Fundación Lealtad, because behind each indicator met is a collective effort, a dedicated team, and a supportive community that walks with us.
We will continue working with the same dedication and rigor, knowing that every step we take is backed by the trust of those who accompany us. Thank you for believing in science, thank you for believing in FERO.
