Last Wednesday, July 5, the 3rd FERO Charity Golf Tournament took place at Real Club de Golf El Prat, raising a total of €4,050 for oncology research.
The FERO Foundation and Real Club de Golf El Prat, one of Spain’s most important and prestigious clubs, located on the Mas Bonvilar estate between Terrassa and Sabadell, collaborated to organize a charity golf tournament with 20 participating pairs of players.
Attendees enjoyed this entertaining event in the natural surroundings of the Sant Llorenç del Munt i l’Obac Natural Park, while contributing to the fight against cancer. The registration fee was €100 per person. All proceeds were donated to the fight against cancer through the FERO Foundation.
The tournament began at 9:00 AM, with a ‘Fourball Stableford’ playing format. This is a pairs format where each player plays their own ball, but if one of the two has a chance to achieve the best score, the other player can pick up their ball.
To enhance the tournament, a cocktail reception was held from 3:00 PM, providing an opportunity for interaction and pleasant conversations among attendees. Subsequently, over 30 prizes were raffled among participants, and a significant amount was raised for oncology research.
Last but not least, it is important to mention the relevance of the collaborating brands that made this #FEROEvent possible, including Real Club de Golf El Prat, Alura Beauty & Wellness, Alusport, Armonic Body, Arsenal Hair Studio, Clínica Dra. Beatriz Beltran, Bella Huella, Casa Bonay, Clínica Pfaff, Bolsos Cocos, ebikes experience, Filocolore, H10 Hotels, inesventossc, Institut Esthederm Paris, Isa López LaMadrid, ISDIN, IZIPIZI, Resort La Costa, Maria Roch, Mary Kay España, MJUNLY, MyBestys by Cristina Castañer, Moncollier, Natura Bissé Oficial, Nespresso, New Look Barcelona, Orbitkey, Pago de los Capellanes, PortaAventura World, Robin, The Box by Carolina, Restaurante Set Cadaqués, and VAC.
Collaborate in the fight against cancer as a company:
FERO’s work would not be possible without the financial contributions of numerous donors and the collaboration of many sponsoring companies. FERO is a private foundation funded through donations via annual fees and individual contributions.
In 2021, companies such as ISDIN, ghd, Mango, Veritas, Galanthya, beauty salons Backstage BCN and Misako, joined FERO to raise funds for oncology research.
The 3rd FERO Charity Golf Tournament, in collaboration with Real Club de Golf El Prat, is another example of the type of collaborative actions that the FERO Foundation can organize and carry out with a brand or company committed to the fight against cancer.
The following collaborative actions are currently active:

Collaborate in the fight against cancer as a company:
Under the campaign “Take Control Now,” the ghd brand launched its new ghd Pink collection, raising funds to boost breast cancer research in Spain. For every set purchased, €10 is donated to the FERO Foundation.
The ghd brand has been collaborating with FERO since 2011 and has raised over €1.5 million for translational research projects, helping to foster the creation of an infrastructure of excellence in Spain to conduct research with greater impact for breast cancer patients.
Mary Kay Heart Brush:
Mary Kay, a company that has been enriching women’s lives for 60 years, launched the new Heart Brush as part of its “Pink Changes Lives” campaign to contribute, alongside the FERO Foundation, to breast cancer research. For every Heart Brush purchased, Mary Kay donates €1 to the search for new discoveries against this type of cancer.
The proceeds from the sale of each Heart Brush are used to fund a translational oncology research project led by Dr. Ciruelos. She is the coordinator of the Breast Cancer Unit at Hospital 12 de Octubre in Madrid and HM Hospitals in Madrid. She is also vice-president of the Solti Cancer Research Group.
